There haven't been so many displaced persons in the world since the Second World War. The war in Syria alone has displaced almost 12 million people. One in two Syrian men or women has had to flee their homes, and around half of those displaced are children. More and more asylum-seekers are also arriving in Europe. The Red Cross is providing support for these refugees - both in their countries of origin and all the way along the migration routes.
